چکیده

The environment in which a DSS is developed can have a significant impact on the development and satisfaction provided by the DSS. A questionnaire was sent to nonacademic TIMS members in an attemmpt to identify specific DSS environments, the capabilities provided by these DSS, and environmental factors that significantly influenced the DSS environment. This paper presents the results of this investigation. 1. ]NTRODUCTION were different from earlier computerized systems in that emphasis was on decision making effectiveness rather than The development of decision support systems (DSS) is a operational efficiency. The late 19703 saw the DSS movecomplex process that has been investigated by many rement begin to emphasize interactive computer-based syssearchers. Many methods, including prototyping and tems that helped decision makers utilize databases and systems life cycle, have been suggested for developing models to solve semi-structured and unstructured problems. Typically, these variety of new technologies to improve the effectiveness of techniques have not adequately taken the role of the DSS or managerial and professional decision makers. Prioritising, Ranking and Resource Implementation - A Normative Analysis

Background Priority setting in publicly financed healthcare systems should be guided by ethical norms and other considerations viewed as socially valuable, and we find several different approaches for how such norms and considerations guide priorities in healthcare decision-making. A critical analysis of decision support systems research

This paper critically analyses the nature and state of decision support systems (DSS) research. To provide context for the analysis, a history of DSS is presented which focuses on the evolution of a number of sub-groupings of research and practice: personal decision support systems, group support systems, negotiation support systems, intelligent decision support systems, knowledge managementbas...
